This DLC is situated after defeating the Final Bosses in Birthright and Conquest. As I've already written before in a part of my walkthrough somewhere, the heroes never learned about Anankos and thus are fucked (no Azura to help and sing anymore; either Ryoma and Takumi or Xander are dead and have no child so there's nobody to pick up their weapon and help make the Yato into the Fire Emblem). This DLC shows what happens a bit after the Final Battle.
The characters you get in each episode of this DLC are preset in everything. It doesn't matter how much you train your units they will always have the same stats and levels. They will also have the same hair color, no matter who their mother may be on your file. For example my Shiro should have purple hair on this file, but it will always be brown here.
You will only get that skill at the end of this third episode if all of your units are still alive.
This map is basically the Shiro show, thanks to having his father's sword. I would also recommend pairing him up with Midori since those two extra points of defense she gives him make most of the generic faceless monsters not do any damage at all. Horse Spirit helps Rhajat greatly, and Asugi might want to pair up with Caeldori for the speed boost. Also, remember that Asugi can recover HP by simply waiting so you might want to wait just a few turns so he can heal himself.
Leaving one Faceless alive to throw stones at you from a distance is also a useful way to fill up the gauge in Defense Stance before taking on a stronger enemy here.
