In this episode we continue playing through the Endgame of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Repatriation. We continue fighting the enemies on the flanks of the map, while Ike clears out the top. The left side finishes first, and I send my units from that side to help those on the right, who are in quite the pickle. Seriously, it’s bad. Ike also fights Bryce, the last of the Daein Four Riders. He only fights for Daein out of a sense of loyalty to the former king, Ashnard’s father. Even after learning that Ashnard killed his father, Bryce still feels he must preserve the bloodline of Daein royalty. We finish just before the fight with Ashnard, when the war will finally end one way or another.
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (Fire Emblem 9/FE9) is a tactical RPG developed by Intelligent Systems (a division of Nintendo) for the Nintendo GameCube in 2005. It is the ninth entry in the Fire Emblem series, a beloved Tactical RPG series known for its engaging gameplay, interesting characters, and support conversations. Common themes in the game are racism, the circumstances of one’s birth, and the consequences of war. Path of Radiance is one of the most sought after and expensive GameCube games, and so not many Fire Emblem fans have been able to experience it. So I want to share this game with the world!
Path of Radiance tells the story of Ike, a young Mercenary who lives in the Kingdom of Crimea. When the neighboring nation of Daein invades Crimea, Ike and his mercenary company are forced to evacuate Crimea. When they encounter the lost princess of Crimea, Elincia, their lives change forever. What ensues is a journey of reclaiming their homeland, and confronting a deadly evil.
