Chapter 4-E-4: Rebirth IV

Last time, our group somehow defeated the King of Dragons. After leaving Dheginsea laying there defeated and resting, he passed away which leaves Kurthnaga as the rightful heir to the King of Dragons. Nasir and Gareth (as long as you didn't kill them in the last chapter) join up with the group and follow Kurthnaga's wishes as the new Dragon King. As the group makes there way to the top of the tower, they reach the final room where Ashera lies waiting for their arrival. However, as they try to open the door and confront Ashera, the door is budged and will not open. Then a familiar figure appears before them...

Units this Chapter:

Nasir – White Dragon: If you killed Nasir in the previous chapter, you won’t get Nasir, and you would be missing out because he is both amazing offensively and supporting for your team. He has crazy bases in the stats that he needs to be a great White Dragon. He is one stat from capping his Magic for what it’s worth. He can do loads of damage to units with not the best Resistance and that is what he is here for. His growths are pretty good for a laguz with his HP at 70% and his Magic, Defense, and Resistance being 40% or higher. He also has awesome skills to work with. He has the same skill, Boon, as his granddaughter, Ena, which cures status effects of the people adjacent to the unit with Boon, as well as the skill, White Pool, which I think is the best of the Dragon’s skills. It increases Magic and Speed by 5 points. This makes units that could not previously double enemies, double with ease as well as helping magic users with their damage. Oh, and by the way, he has a free Nihil skill which is useful on the final boss. Use Nasir, he is amazing.

Gareth – Red Dragon: Gareth is your typical Red Dragon and the complete opposite of Ena. He is all about the HP, Strength, and Defense. Gareth is not as useful as his counterpart from the previous chapter, Nasir, as he is basically just a big tank that can deal one big hit. He has a monstrous 82 HP with 42 Defense, so he can hold his own against physical units, but keep him far, far away from magic users, they will tear him apart. He has 90% HP growth so he can have a chance to cap his HP at 90 if you use him a lot. He has a nice Luck growth as well being at 65% which he needs seeing as his Luck stat is at a measly 20 at level 31. Apart from his 40% Strength growth, he doesn’t really excel in anything else. He does have Blood Tide like Ena has and to be honest, his only usability is because of Blood Tide. Even if that is his only usability, +5 to Strength and Defense is nothing to scoff at. And because you have two units with Blood Tide, this means that if you put Ena and Gareth next to a unit they can get double the benefits from Blood Tide. So, a PLUS TEN to STRENGTH AND SKILL. The big overlying issue with Gareth is the fact that he can just be one-shot by the final boss of the game. All of his Defense and HP are put to shame by the lack of physical units in the last two chapters. He is more of a hindrance than an asset in the two chapters you have him. So, it is recommended to just let him ride the pine.
