I've done many Nuzlockes, but never a hardcore Nuzlocke. But what is the difference, you may ask, well let's go over the rules!

Nuzlocke Rules
1. If a Pokemon faints it is considered dead and must be permanently boxed or released
2. You may only attempt to capture the first Pokemon you see on a route
3. You must nickname all of your Pokemon to grow a stronger bond with them

Additional Rules
4. Dupes clause - If your first encounter on a route is a Pokemon I have already had, it doesn't count as an encounter
5. Shiny clause - You may always catch Shiny Pokemon
6. All Base Stats have been randomized, but BST are the same. Eg Shuckle will ALWAYS have 505 BST, but the individual stats are randomized

Hardcore Rules
7. You may not enter a gym battle with a Pokemon who is higher level than the gym leader's ace
8. You must fight all gym trainers
9. You can only bring as many Pokemon into a gym battle as the gym leader has
10. You may not use items in battle
