Firewatch is a mystery set in the Wyoming wilderness, where your only emotional lifeline is the person on the other end of a handheld radio. In Firewatch you play as a man named Henry who has retreated from his messy life to work as a fire lookout in the Wyoming wilderness. Perched high atop a mountain, it’s your job to look for smoke and keep the wilderness safe. An especially hot and dry summer has everyone on edge.

The game is a first person mystery, With a huge emphasis on Character development with your boss Delilah, and the ways that you interact with people defines who you are. The game gives options for player choice and creates a responsive world, and while there are various different opportunities, there aren't branches of trees that allow different endings or discovering the mystery. Firewatch was released on February 9, 2016 on Steam and the PlayStation Store.
