0Grief Like a Stray Dog is an indie narrative game created by developer Rayonist, released in 2025. It takes place during World War II, in a small, isolated village near Rzhev on the Eastern Front, where the outside world is in conflict. The player assumes the role of Nadia, a thirteen-year-old girl who, to help her ailing mother, begins working as a mail carrier, delivering newspapers, letters, and death notices to the families of fallen soldiers. The narrative is inspired by real-life accounts—Nadia's character is based on the author's grandmother, and many of the letters were documented.
