This year (2022), I had my first go at Overwatch 1 and in the space of 8 months (Feb-Oct), I had to collect competitive play victories for my channel. As my first and only year of OW1, I've shown games that I did kind-of-ok in ha! Now, here we are with Overwatch 2 and been asked to collect for an OW2 playlist.

I went into this game wanting to try the 3 new characters featured on the thumbnail Sojourn, Kiriko and Junker Queen. Ramattra is in the game but I streamed this before Ramattra was added and when Mei had just returned to the roster.

I would've got the battle pass before I started streaming but without it, it meant Kiriko wasn't unlocked so, I didn't get to play her. ha!

I opted for All Roles. Managed to play 4 Competitive Games in my first hour with Deathmatches in-between games.

3:04 Game 1: Oasis - Support
Kicked things off as Mercy and was nervous going into my first competitive game. First round - First death, I should've gone with Sojourn to prepare me for the enemy Bastion who instakilled me. I should've healed Cassidy asap so I wouldn't try to Rez him infront of the enemy Reinhardt haha. Yep, one hammer swoosh and dead ha! I thought I'd get coverfire from Sojourn while making the rez. Anyway, I was so nervous that I wasn't playing smart.
Teammates: They were fine. I just looked out of place ha!
Team: SIRSVENSON, TOP10FEEDER, VACEDIA & VIXEN
Play of the Match: SIRSVENSON as Reaper

16:30 Game 2: Lijiang Tower - DPS
I love playing Symmetra on this map and ended with Mei.
Teammates: They were great, I was hmm warming up? ha! Shaking off nerves from first game.
Team: BANNED, BAZOOKIE, JBD10, WILDWARTURKY
Play of the Match: N/A - Awarded to the other team

27:57 Game 3: Colosseo - Support
It was one of the new maps, a push map and I wasn't sure of shortcuts but I knew I wanted to play 3 supports max. Played Zenyatta & Moira before settling with Mercy. I regret not playing Zenyatta more aggressively. With Moira, she was like my go to support in OW1 but using her in this first game back I was rusty and on a new map, I was bad. ha!. I didn't like the way I played her. Final change to Mercy, after I died to Roadhog I said "That's it we're winning this game". Love the look of this map though.
Teammates: Good! Felt like they all knew the map and I was the only idiot who didn't haha. Should've explored more avenues to heal team better

42:07 Game 4: Watchpoint Gibraltar - DPS
Sombra felt nice to play. I had to change to Symmetra when I died and found the courage to play Sojourn without practice nor knowledge of how she works. Yeah, I should've tried her in Deathmatch first. I was tempted to be Mei the whole way but was told I had to play three "S" - Sombra, Symmetra & Sojourn on Attack. I don't like playing Sym on this map. Scattered and missing too many shots. The one thing that annoyed me and still does about my own Sojourn play, was on the last leg, the disruption went in the direction of my quick glance towards my teammates and not at the enemy Zarya that was straight ahead like when I had actually pushed my button for it. On Defense I made sure I played whichever characters name was drawn out of the hat and ended with Tracer.
Teammates: They did well and could easily get a victory even if I wasn't in the team. ha!
Team: AUSSIEJATTZ, CHEESE, DADDY & SUPERMAGE
Play of the Match: SUPERMAGE as Soldier 76

I didn't get the Tank role so I didn't play Junker Queen, well, any of the Tanks actually haha. I did get to try out Junker Queen in 2 Deathmatches. She felt awesome to play.

Ended with all four games being victories.

Overwatch 2, I would've played this when it first came out but I didn't want my first hour for YT to be full of trying to get into the game hahaha. For those of you that experienced login failure and long queues, I know your pain ha! I tried once and then I was like fuck it, I'll play it late November haha. It's a good game and ongoing changes are to be expected.
