Nagai Ryuun (November 4, 1957) is a Japanese singer-songwriter. He is a songwriter and composer.
Biography
Born in Toyotsu-cho, Kyoto-gun (now Miyako-machi), Fukuoka Prefecture. He started his music career in junior high school when he formed a folk music club. He was also a baseball boy and played the position of pitcher.
He started his college education at Toyotsu High School (now Ikutokukan High School) in Fukuoka Prefecture, but failed all four of the entrance exams he took.
In 1979, his fifth single "Michijo Shirubenai Tabi" became a hit as the commercial song for Glico Almond Chocolate, and in 1981-82 he became a personality on "All Night Nippon" Thursday 2 part.
In 1989, he won the 22nd Japan Poetry Grand Prize for Excellence in Poetry for his lyrics to "Noren" by Hiroshi Itsuki.
In April 1999, he moved to Okinawa Prefecture[2]. His mother's hometown is Setouchi-cho, Oshima-gun, Kagoshima Prefecture, and he is also associated with the area, having held several concerts on Amami Oshima.
In 2016, she won the 58th Japan Record Award for Best Planning for "In Retrospect".
