First Shiny Celebi Transferred from Crystal! [Pre Virtual Console]
0Thanks to Lura for helping me hunt and transfer this majestic beloved shiny Celebi of mine! She helped up-convert the Pokemon Crystal data into Sun and Moon data. This event makes the first ever legitimate shiny Celebi in Sun and Moon!
Here's exactly how Lura was able to transfer Celebi from gen 2 to 7: "Okay, here's the EXACT method I used, and you MUST use the EXACT versions of this software, I am NOT responsible for fubars if you use other versions. Take the Crystal .sav file and open it in Pokemon Editor Legacy Version 1.4 (THAT is what I am referring to by "Time Capsule," but that is the version I got to work correctly for me personally). Once you have opened said .sav file, it will ask you "game: Crystal". Click the "Pokemon" button in the lower-left-hand corner to start editing, if that's your choice. (There's also a button for editing Items or Pokedex, that's why I specify LOL.) Wherever the Pokemon is located that you want to edit, highlight it and click on it. In my case, the Pokemon is the Shiny Celebi named Revelation and she is the only Pokemon in the party. Click on her and click Edit in the top toolbar, then click and drag down Convert to Gen 3 in the top toolbar. The program will then give you a viable Pokemon whose data is compatible with Gen III games. With that in mind, pull down the File menu in the top-left corner of the toolbar and drag to Save As. The file will then save as a filetype called .3GPKM, which stands for "3rd-Gen Pokemon file". HEREIN lies the magic! THIS .3GPKM file can be opened in any version of PKHeX/PKHaX software that will produce QR codes that can be scanned in the 6th-Gen games. Open the .3GPKM in the PKHeX software and it will open as the appropriate Pokemon, in this case our lovely Revelation. Press the "QR!" button in the top-right corner of the program to produce the appropriate the QR code. Make sure you have a 6th-Generation game that can STILL ACCEPT the QR-Code injection method for scanning in Pokemon. (I have a WHOLE SPARE 3DS system I have not yet upgraded to permit me to do this!) Use the QR-code injection method as appropriate to inject your Pokemon, in this case Revelation, into your 6th-Gen game. From 6th-Gen, barring any hiccups, Bank SHOULD accept these without comment et voila! 7th-Gen Pokemon from RBY/GSC! This is ESPECIALLY cool for 2nd-Gen stuff, since VC is not out for it yet." -Lura
