FIX for Momentary NO AVR AUDIO OUTPUT upon Playing Something
Sometimes, some A/V Receivers will simply not play audio for a second or two as it tries to identify what kind of audio stream it's getting from your source, however if you know that you are always feeding it the same kind of audio stream and don't need it to auto detect, this audio pause can be quite annoying, so I found a simple and scrappy way to fix it in software form. Just have an audio file playing in the background! Doesn't matter what it is, just have it playing all the time.
Yes, this will probably reflect more poorly on your power bill, but if you want no pause, this is how I do it, and I hope it helps some of you!
The MP3 file I made to fix this, I play it with foobar2000 because I believe it'll use the least amount of power between built-in Windows media players and VLC:
