FIXED: Geforce 560ti GPU Goes Ballistic (Windows 8 Consumer Preview)

NOTE: There is now a fix. Download the 301.24 beta or newer drivers to fix this problem.
NOTE: Windows 8 Release Preview comes with an unstable driver that has this bug. Upgrade your driver immediately.
Usually it just resets the display driver but this time the whole computer rebooted. Why can this GPU run for minutes under the load of FurMark, run Minecraft with extreme MSAA for hours on end, etc. but die when using Internet Explorer, Flash Player, or Metro apps?
