[Fixed] How to Fix Dead Space Mouse Lag - Solution
Mouse sluggish or slow? This is the sensitivity fix on how to get rid of the mouse lag in Dead Space.
UPDATED: November 6, 2017 (see the "UPDATE" line at the very end of this description box).

How to Improve Your Games' Graphics and/or Performance via the Nvidia Control Panel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZqaoBo2Y7Q
If you're using ATI-AMD cards:
You turn on Vsync in AMD's Catalyst control panel. Here's how to find it:
"Open the AMD vision engine control center, click the gaming tab along the left side, click 3d application settings and scroll down until you see the words 'wait for vertical refresh.'" - Razaice
So in summary:
1. Turn on AMD Catalyst's "wait for vertical refresh."
2. Tun off vsync in Dead Space's option.
Added Oct 12, 2015:
If the video didn't help you, try these:
1. Turn on Steam's framerate counter. See if it really is a mouse lag issue and not a framerate one. If your FPS drops to 34 and below, then your PC might not be able to handle the game.
2. Defrag your hard drive---Sometimes if you've installed too many games at one time, your HDD becomes so fragmented, stuttering occurs.
3. It's been a long time since I've played this game but check to see if this game has "Mouse Smoothing" as an option. Tick and untick it and see which setting (enabled/disabled) suits you the most.
4. Your mouse acceleration setting may be what's causing you problems. Try this fix: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-1953585/completely-turn-mouse-acceleration-windows.html
5. Lastly, see my Nvidia tweak guide video to further optimize your gaming experience: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZqaoBo2Y7Q (Doesn't matter if you've got an ATI card; both companies use more or less the same terms on their video card drivers' control panel.)
Also know that:
Isaac does move sluggishly compared to most third-person characters. This is a design feature. Remember Resident Evil 1 and how the sluggish controls made the game scarier? It's kind of like that.
UPDATE: If the option is available and you've an Nvidia card and the option is available, set the control panel's Vsync setting to "Fast" and see if the game performs better. That has worked wonders for me.
UPDATE 2:
For those who can't find the game to add to the "select program to customize":
1. Launch Dead Space. (Waiting until the title screen shows should be fine.) Close the game.
2. Right click anywhere on your desktop. On the resulting menu that drops down, click on "Nvidia Control Panel." (If somehow for some strange reason your rig doesn't show this, there should be an Nvidia icon on your lower right section of the taskbar. Right click on that and on the resulting menu that drops down, click on "Nvidia Control Panel."
3. On the Nvidia Control Panel that pops up, there should be a column on the left with a "Select a task" heading. Click "Manage 3D settings."
4. You will be presented with the Manage 3D Settings UI. There will be two tabs. Click "Program settings."
5. On the Program Settings tab, the first row should have buttons labeled "Add", "Remove", and "Restore." Click "Add."
6. Because of Step #1, the Dead Space exe should be in the list of programs that pops up; Nvidia places the most recently used ones at the top by default. (This is why the first step is necessary so you wouldn't have to sift through the list.) Select the program. Click the "Add selected program" button.
7. Do the thing in the video. Activate Vsync on this control panel.
