The entire error reads, This app has been blocked for your protection. An administrator has blocked you from running this app. For more information, contact the administrator.

You would naturally think to disable Windows Security or Windows Defender, including User Account Control, would temporarily solve the problem, but not always. Instead, we can Disable UAC in the registry so you can install your application. Here are the steps:

1. Open the Registry Editor
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
3. Double-click on EnableLUA. Change the Value data to 0.
4. Reboot your system

When done, go back and change the Value data to 1.
