In case I forget in the future, or if anyone else has this problem

There are two holes besides a large flat head screw on the side of the eyepiece, these are 1.3mm hex screws that tighten the eyepiece in place. An iFixit screwdriver set has the one you need

There's a few different parts of the microscope that use a hex screw to tighten things, so in case something seems off you may be able to correct it without returning it as faulty
