So a while ago my PS3 Fat got the Blinking Red Light which I thought my PS3 died because I thought it was part of the Yellow Light of death. but it Turns out the Blinking Red Light means that my PS3 is overheated. not dead. Thankfully!

So I looked up a video on how to fix the problem. I tried the old Hair-Dryer trick. It worked for about a day & then it goes back.

Then I looked up another video & as it turns out, theirs Thermal Paste in my PS3 that needs to be changed.
You see, the Thermal Paste helps protect the CPU/GPU from Overheating which mean I gotta go get a bunch of tools such as a special type of Screw Driver which I don't have, Good Quality Thermal Paste, & a Heat Gun.

Then I saw the disassembly which... HOLY FUCK! There is so much hardware to remove. If you thought building your own PC was hard... Oh god wait until you see the Fat PS3!

So I gave myself 2 more options.

Option A: Buy a New PS3. perhaps the 500gb Super Slim which has a Top Loader rather than sliding the disc in. Cost about $130 - $450 *depends on the condition*

Option B: Buy a new Disc Drive for my PS3 Slim.

Since my PS3 Slim still works! it just has a broken Disc Drive. All I need to do is buy a new Disc Drive which can cost about $60. Take my PS3 Slim apart, remove old disc drive, install new disc drive, clean it, put it back together. That's it! I can now play PS3 games in Disc again!

So I'm thinking about doing Option B because it's cheaper.

I'm not gonna get rid of my Fat PS3 however. It's too special to me.
