Flashback 2 was announced by Microids in May 2021, the game is in development and scheduled to be release in 2022 for the PC and consoles.Microids, who created the Switch port of the original game, announced the sequel Flashback 2 for personal computers and multiple consoles for planned release in 2022. The company did not specific how the game would be connected, if at all, to Fade to Black.
