Review: Now THIS is what I call a glow-up. Holy shit.

I must say my expectations for this update were relatively high, and yet it STILL managed to surpass them in every way imaginable. The dedication to remake/improve EVERYTHING from the ground up is amazing, even if they kept a few elements from V2, that's still completely fine by me since they were already great to begin with.

Now, if you're going into this mod expecting tons of new songs and all, you may be a little disappointed (there's only 2 new songs), but I can assure you that this update absolutely delivers with its upgrades.
I really love the amount of visual flair that was added to the old songs, it definitely helps them feel less forgettable and also gives them a lot more personality. And the same can be said in the musical department, these new mixes did a lot of justice to all of the V2 songs. Notable examples of this are songs like Terminated, Watchful, and most notoriously Followed.
Oh, and I also like the inclusion of a coherent story to the main weeks, even if their point is to be pretty silly.

The only real issue I have with this update is how hard it can be to pay attention at some of the song events. Since you're always focusing on playing the chart, there's not much time for you to see what's going on in the gameplay (the part in Dismantle where Ourple destroys the animatronics is a good example of that).
My solution for this would be to have the camera zoom in on these events so the player can have a better idea of what's going on, or in some specific cases, maaaaybe have the strumlines be moved around to more appropriate positions?

Issues aside though, the hype for this update was totally deserved. I've followed (no pun intended) the whole ARG on Twitter when the mewmixes were being revealed and I could see the amount of love and effort that was being put into V3. Worth the wait.
