FoEhints: New Viking event in Forge of Empires

An epic axe throwing tournament is coming to your city! Face the wheel of fortune and prove your skills in the Viking event! That's the announcement from InnoGames. It sounds like a completely new event, but it's actually the wheel of fortune from the summer event 2022, just with a new design.

This event is all about collecting Viking coins. You start with 50 and get 15 more for each daily login.

Then there is the usual quest line with 30 rush quests and 21 daily quests giving 15 or 20 Viking coins as a reward.

You will receive additional Viking coins at the first and third milestones.
The daily short rival is also back.

You can then use these Viking coins in the mini-game. Each axe throw on the wheel of fortune costs 10 Viking coins. Take your time to throw individually and do not use the multiple throw option unless you want to complete one of the daily tasks. Axe throws are purely random and cannot be influenced by the player – even though InnoGames always refers to the player's skill here. It is pure chance.

For each axe thrown, you receive 10 grand prize points. You also receive 2 points if you collect a powerful rune.

As a general rule, you should try to complete as many of the daily tasks in the mini-game as possible each day.

Please note that the wheel of fortune is shared with the entire neighborhood! This means that an interesting grand prize can be snatched away by a neighbor and vice versa.

Occasionally, the Wheel of Fortune grants special runes – Thurisaz Purple (Rage), Uruz Evergreen (Strength), and Ansuz Skyborn (Wisdom) – which can be exchanged for exclusive rewards.

The collected runes can be used to open chests. We are already familiar with this chest mechanism from the St. Patrick's Day event, and it offers additional prizes. You should always take the free chest, at least.

Both axe throws and collected runes contribute to your progress towards the main prize of the mini-game, the Fjordstorm Wharf, which can be upgraded to level 10 plus silver and gold upgrades. It offers high bonuses to the attack and defense of defending troops, with an additional bonus for the guild expedition.

Also available through the Grand Prizes are the multi-level Berserker target and a mill.

There are also two new historical allies.
