Welcome back to FoEhints! Today we are going to take a look at the brand new Halloween Event 2024 in Forge of Empires. This event brings a completely new mini-game, the Wheel of Misfortune, and we will go into all the details today. So stay tuned and learn how to get the most out of the event!
As with every event, there is a quest chain that you should complete to earn Halloween tickets. These quests range from production to combat to trade tasks, as usual, and offer you plenty of opportunities to progress. There will once again be rush quests and daily quests to guide you through the event. Remember to complete all tasks in time to avoid missing out on valuable tickets. The incidents in and around the city also provide tickets.
Let's move on to the centerpiece of the event – the Wheel of Misfortune! The wheel of fortune, which is well known from the summer event and is very popular with players, is back in a modified form. As soon as you open the event window, you will see the wheel of fortune, which you can activate with 10 Halloween tickets each. You have the choice of throwing knives at the wheel, which is displayed and filled with prizes, to win rewards, or to shuffle the wheel for you and your neighbors first. Neighbors can snatch the displayed grand prize out from under you and vice versa.
Some prizes provide magic potions. There are three types of potion. If you have at least 10 of each potion, you can exchange them for a crate. If you have more of one potion than of others, balancing will help you.
There are daily tasks on the left. It is recommended that you complete them, and often you can advance two tasks at once with one action.
This mini-game is new and requires a little skill and strategy. Each time you throw a knife at the wheel, it will land on one of the spaces containing rewards. These rewards are divided into different categories:
• Green prizes: common and available four times.
• Silver prizes: rarer and only available twice.
• Golden prizes: the rarest, appearing only once on the wheel.
What's special about this is that you share the wheel of fortune with your neighbors. This means that when a neighbor reshuffles the wheel, it is updated for everyone in the neighborhood. So you should act quickly to get the best rewards before they disappear!
Here are a few tips for the new Wheel of Misfortune:
• Use multiple throw options: For reasons of probability of winning and efficiency, I recommend the single throw. I only used the triple or quintuple throw if the daily tasks required it.
• Refresh the wheel in time: If the golden prize on the wheel has been won by you or a neighbor, you should definitely have the wheel reloaded with new prizes.
• Collect potions: If you open not only the free chest, but all of them, you can get an alternative grand prize, the Enchanted Elixirs Emporium.
• Use the rebalance function when the exchange ratio is favorable for you.
As your first grand prize, you get the Spooky Thrill Coaster Level 1 without any advance work. This is the actual grand prize of the event. This building is very bulky at 7x4 tiles and will probably require some remodeling of your city. Especially for players who find that not all buildings are reliably motivated and polished, should take the opportunity to give up small buildings in favor of a single giant building.
There are three versions:
• Eerie Thrill Coaster: The basic version, which adds attack and defense bonuses to your city.
• Eerie Terror Coaster: An improved version that offers even more forge points and production bonuses.
• Eerie Nightmare Coaster: The top level, which, when fully upgraded, significantly increases your production.
A great alternative to the main prize is the Enchanted Elixir Emporium. It offers defense and production bonuses and only takes up 4x4 tiles. If you open all the chests, you will receive this as an additional prize.
