💻 Folder View Settings and Desktop Icon Positions Not Saving [Windows 10]
When I tried to RDC to one of the server it showed error "An authentication error has occurred" "This could be due to CredSSP encryption oracle remediation".
Cumulative update KB4103721
Policy path: "Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - System - Credentials Delegation"
Setting name: "Encryption Oracle Remediation"
I enabled the local policy and set it back to Vulnerable
Both RDC and VMs via VMMSSP are working

ESET Fix for moving desktop icons and folder view not saving walkthrough.
Also re: comment by Kostadin Stoykov make sure you did update KB3095020 which may not be picked up by windows update and you need to get from Microsoft update catalog
Some users report the key changes back at boot **** If keys change back Please try https://youtu.be/ucBQTFiImR0 to write the key automatically at shutdown so it will startup with working keys. It should rewrite to registry on shutdown so computer starts every time with fix.
Keys:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{42aedc87-2188-41fd-b9a3-0c966feabec1}\InProcServer32\
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{42aedc87-2188-41fd-b9a3-0c966feabec1}\InProcServer32\
Correct value:
%SystemRoot%\system32\windows.storage.dll
EDIT!
Sometimes problem comes back.
All you need to do then is reaply registry key from link below:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By6nmeRixBmTSzBEeVVJY1BQc1E/view?usp=sharing
=================================================
Start by right-clicking on the last sub-key which in this case is InProcServer32 and click on Permissions the Advanced then change Ownership to yourself.
Assuming you're on Windows 10 click on Change - Advanced again - Find Now - Administrators.
Then tick the "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects" and also "Replace all child object permission entries..."
Click OK
Then select "Administrators" in the Permissions window you first opened and tick "Full Control" then hit OK
Do that to the InProcServer32 folder and the {42aedc87-2188-41fd-b9a3-0c966feabec1} in both HKEY paths
====================================================
In regedit go to those 2 destinations
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{42aedc87-2188-41fd-b9a3-0c966feabec1}\InProcServer32\
and
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{42aedc87-2188-41fd-b9a3-0c966feabec1}\InProcServer32\
Double click on (Default) and replace "%SystemRoot%\SysWow64\shell32.dll" with "%SystemRoot%\system32\windows.storage.dll" in both file destinations then restart your PC and everything should work fine !!
