Today I'm stepping into the quirky shoes of a clumsy sorcerer's apprentice and venturing into Folly of the Wizards—a 2D roguelike action game full of magic, chaos, and comics. Although I'm playing it on the Switch version, it runs smoothly and fast on my Switch 2—ideal for an unexpectedly fun Let's Show!
In this adventure, you'll join a quirky wizard cult, battle with unpredictable spells, explore procedurally generated dungeons, and save the world—or plunge it into chaos. Every spell has its pitfalls, every step counts, and with every run, you experience something new thanks to random levels and events.
The artwork is lovingly hand-drawn, the characters quirky, and the humor is omnipresent. The game also offers great replayability with over 100 items, more than 10 regions, and different relationships with wizards, depending on your choices.
I'll take you along on my first runs: Where do I lose my spells? Which cult members do I prefer as enemies? How does it all run technically on the Switch 2—smoothly, smoothly, or with minor glitches? Let's experience the magical chaos together!
