Super-fun result of a lawsuit settlement between General Computer Corp. and Atari. Control "Charley Chuck" with an environmental multi-directional joystick, collecting the piles of food to throw at 4 chefs who want to do the same to you or catch you (resulting in a lost life). You also must watch out for open holes in the floor-- you can goad the chefs into splattering each other with food or falling in the holes! Your ultimate goal, though, is to eat the ice cream cone on the other side. Not nearly as easy as it sounds, as the chefs get faster and faster (you do too, to some degree). The sounds and music are ON POINT in this game! Even better is the cool instant replay that you may get if you have a particularly close call with a chef on the way to the cone. The lawsuit settlement stemmed from GCC making a difficulty hack of Missile Command called SUPER MISSILE ATTACK, that rankled Atari and even though the latter could have sued the former, they commissioned GCC to make games for them. One was Quantum (an okay color vector game) and Food Fight. It's a shame there weren't more home ports for this-- I think there may have been like an Atari 7800 version-- but boy howdy is it fun!
