Through countless nights study many a learned mind world come to the conclusion that there was constantly progress towards a better and better time where war became less frequent. And then the fall happened and the only thing that progressed were soldiers on a map, fortresses forged and towns burned.

Eivar came to the conclusion that war was part of history and that this one would never end, all sides too large, too stubborn and too smart or stupid to put an end to it, so why fight it end the war when the fight should rather be put down to legacy, to become engraved in the stones of the land itself and hailed as a warrior.

In Eivars history there was little to be cherished, his parents dead by the samurai, his sister kidnapped and likely converted by the Vikings of Rokfelheim, a fight he Hopes is impossible, and will never come to pass, his only love quelled by the Knights in a fire. The order of the Highlander howeve, brought peace through their strength, brought order through their precision and brought stability with their wisdom once they were reformed shortly after Hjalmers Death, the inspiration for a new order to be born.

There was little for Eivar to love, save for Skali, and so these past few nights he's dreamed of battle, like an addiction, like a drug, cherishing the power he had over the enemies like a toy, and he relished the thought of them fearing him. however when he wakes he wakes with shame, one must not over indulge in violence like one must not over indulge in food, drink, and general debauchery for like all these things it weakens a warrior.

They were traveling night by night around their borders, their people planned to expand but they needed a solid defense for every fort and town before proceeding, and so until these defenses were erected they were on patrol. then a fire, screams of a nearby village and the viking raiders were visible, Eivar and Skali charged forth.

and like Eivar had not revealed before to Skali he felt it, his blade pulsing, calling for blood and bone, calling to be satisfied. and Hjalmer was ready to provide.

a roar.

and then Death.

and only one saying pierced his mind. a summary of his life.

fall down seven times, stand up eight. Push and fight, fight and kill.
