Another beautiful AND approachable sudoku today, this time courtesy of SSG with a puzzle titled Equals X.
If you'll indulge me, I want to write a few words about my friend Matthew Slingo, who was taken from us far too soon. I didn't trust myself to address this during the video but he was one of my very favourite people. He was also so so encouraging when I came up with the idea of Cracking The Cryptic all those years ago on one of our many ski holidays. His belief in the channel as a concept made me that much more certain it could succeed and it gave me the confidence to persevere with it in those early days. For the last 20 years we have had some incredible trips to Europe and North America; picked each other up after many a wipe-out and set the world to rights on countless chair lifts. I will miss you buddy. RIP.

Rules:
Normal sudoku rules apply. Each purple line contains a set of non-repeating consecutive digits (which can appear in any order). Each main diagonal (marked in blue) cannot contain a repeated digit. The sum of the digits on an orange line within a single box must be the same for each box that line passes through. eg r2c5 + r2c6 = r3c7 = r4c8 + r5c8 + r6c8.
