This song is dedicated to Toss.
Toss was my good friend Nicole's dog.
But. He was so much more than that.
He was her guardian, best friend and companion.
His love for Nicole was awe inspiring.
He sadly passed away at the end of last year leaving a huge gap in the lives and hearts of Nicole, Marjo, Mimi and many others who loved him that will never be filled.
I didn't get chance to know him as much as I would have liked to and I will always regret this.
The picture is of the the lake nearby to where Nicole lives and he spent a lot of time there with Nicole in his life and it will be forever known now as Toss's lake.
The night he passed away I witnessed a pure love and a fight against all odds to stay with Nicole.
He loved her and fought with everything he had to stay by her side.
Sadly he couldn't win this and I think he knew it but he fought nether the less with everything he had and I stood in awe of him.
My respect and love for him is immense and he showed me so much about how much love is worth fighting for.
Even if you know you can't win.
You fight for it.
You fight for the ones you love and you do everything you can do until you just can't.
Even then. You try. You push. You fight and keep going for as long as you can.
He was an example of how to be and I will be forever grateful to him for the lesson he taught me that night.
I love and miss you Big Lad. I just wish I got to know you more and I wish we could have spent some more time together.
I wont ever forget you. Rest easy my friend.
