0Something that I keep forgetting to mention is that these hitboxes are a mess. So many hits that I should have gotten that don't land. It's worst with the knife. Also note how the two-headed enemies have iframes while they're putting on the second head, making the headshot disadvantageous.
I'm convinced I should've killed that exploding barrel guy that gave me my first death. And, of course, the lack of quicksave (WHY???) makes it all the worse.
And there's no manual save at the starts of levels, too, so you can only do a proper save midlevel. Bizarre.
