Today we discuss forms of energy:
Mechanical Energy
Radiant Energy
Chemical Energy
Electrical Energy
Nuclear Energy
Thermal Energy
The Law of Conservation of Energy states that energy cannot be created nor destroyed, it's simply transferred.
Finally, we discuss how energy is transferred from one form to another. For example, Potential Mechanical Energy from a hydroelectric dam is converted into Kinetic Mechanical Energy when the water spins a series of turbines. This Mechanical Energy is then converted into Electrical Energy which powers our homes and businesses. Lastly, the Electrical Energy is transferred to Radiant Energy when a light is turned on, or Thermal Energy when you use an oven.
