Formula Retro Racing (Nintendo Switch) (Gameplay)

Info: If you expect an accurate Formula 1 simulation, you are definitely wrong. 😆 This is a pure arcade racer, comparable to Sega's Virtua Racing. Instead of a pit stop: full throttle, to the max. Instead of a realistic damage model: a Ridge Racer-like BOING when colliding with the other drivers. The polygon graphics, trimmed to retro, are lovely, the speed feeling is cool (better than the video here can show with its recorded 30fps). The controls are easy to get used to...after a short phase. Two things tarnish the overall impression: there is no way to start the "Grand Prix" on the Switch Lite, since it requires the connection of Joycons. WTF? And: there are only 8 tracks available. You can complete them in two evenings in arcade mode. All 8 Tracks are shown in this short Video. Otherwise, the game is quite fun.
