FPV flying: K-Quad V5 tuning clips
Not much proper flying from me lately, I've been doing little bits and pieces, but nothing great.
I thought I would share this though, as I'm having real issues tuning my little 250mm K-Quad. It's flying with RCX 1804 motors and BLHeli flashed 10A plushes with a KK2.1 on Steveis firmware.
So either I'm doing something fundamentally wrong here, or the KK2.1 is not so great at smaller frames. Motors/props are nicely balanced and motors seem smooth. But the gains need to be backed off so much to prevent oscillation that the result is the quad can't hold it's attitude.
I haven't gone in and started messing more with the MPU6050 settings, so that feels worth a punt. I'm interested to know if anyone out there has a 250 sized quad on a kk2 flying very smoothly, or if I should just give up and try a naze32 ?
That aside, the quad is great fun for really throwing around, but until I can trust it to hold it's attitude, I can't risk close proximity stuff - it's just not precise enough
