Yes I know it's sudden; yes I talked about it before. It'll work out. I'll have the Hyperion installments in their own Playlist this weekend so odds are this bit of text is irrelevant. \n\nAnyway, minor spoilers for last time if you didn't listen to it yet. Our band of intrepid pilgrims has made planetfall on Hyperion, and things aren't exactly great. The Shrike Church is religious-institution-non-grata, there's a refugee crisis with lots of people trying to get offworld, and the Shrike is running rampant everywhere but the major cities... so far. Our merry band gets shuttled out of the city Keats under cover of darkness by an Android and they're headed upriver to destiny.
