Freedom 251 - First look at world's cheapest smartphone Video: The worlds cheapest smartphone has just been launched in India by a company called Ringing Bells. The phone is called "Freedom 251" and it costs only rupees 251 which is approximately between 3 and 4 US dollars.
Freedom 251 Specs:
The phone has a 1.3 Ghz quadcore processor, 1 GB RAM, 8GB ROM expandable to 32GB, two SIM slots, 3G GSM, a 1450mAh battery, a 3.2MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera, and a 4-inch QHD IPS Display. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Registration is open from Thursday, 18th Feb at 6am IST and closes on Sunday 21st Feb at 8pm. The company will deliver the phone by the 30th of June to all those who registered online. There is no cash on delivery option as of yet that we are aware of and one does not need to have an aadhar card to register.
Later, the phone will be available offline throughout India.
