This is the eleventh mission of Inferno, the classic fan campaign for Freespace 2. First released in 2003, the campaign has been restored and voice acted for the first time for its 20th anniversary. The gate to reopen the Sol jump node in Delta Serpentis has been completed, but rather than a welcome home, the GTVA found its contact expedition summarily destroyed and warships from the so-called Earth Alliance swarming through the node to attack their systems. Meanwhile, the Shivans have returned in Ross 128, but seem suppressed for now. The assault on the Sol system is well underway, but we have a problem. Captain Edward Kelly of the GTCv Soyuz has not reported in, and his ship has been sighted at an EA installation in the asteroid belt. If Captain Kelly has turned traitor, what he knows could undo the entire war effort. To prevent him from giving military secrets to the Earth Alliance, we must jump in and sanitize the area, destroying the Soyuz and all EA assets in theater.
