This is the fifth mission of Warmachine, a weapon testbed reskin of Blue Planet: Age of Aquarius. Warmachine is a complete overhaul of Freespace's ships and weapons, with everything turned up to 11. We occupy the character of Commander Samuel Bei of the 222nd Nightwolves, stationed on the GTD Orestes. The Shivans have pursued us into N362. We have taken the Sanctuary under our protection but the Shivans have arrived from Laramis in sufficient force to threaten our task force. Fortunately there's another way out. The hijacked GTC Duke's navigational computer contained its intended destination, and recon at those coordinates discovered an active Knossos device. With the Shivans blockading the node back to Laramis, this is our only chance. The GTD Temeraire will mount a diversionary attack at the Laramis node to draw off Shivan resistance while the rest of the task force makes for the Knossos. Our role is to clear the way for the fleeing ships and ensure their safety. Two Rakshasa cruisers and some Mara fighters guard the Knossos, but we should expect more Shivans to arrive once they realize our intent.
