Chose Samsung over other brands because Samsung seems to be a leader in performance & reliability from the benchmark scores & reviews available on the internet. Crucial MX500 was a tempting alternative but the uncertainty about the after-sales service of Crucial products in India let me go ahead with Samsung.

I purchased an HP 15g laptop which has an 8th Gen i5 processor with 8gb ram and win 10. I was really disappointed with the performance. Later I realized the 5400 rpm HDD is the bottleneck. I purchased this SSD and decided to install it myself. In Video have the installation steps for hp 15 series laptop, in case anyone needs that.

Well well well, to everyone saying their i5 is slow, or windows 10 lags, or something like that about the boot time or in general, you're (and mine till a few days ago) HDD is the problem, my laptop now boots up within 10 seconds and everything is ready to use as soon as it does. Click on that visual studio icon, opens in 3 sec. Click on chrome, start typing in the address bar :). Evo series delivers the best a SATA disk can, that’s what defines it over the other SSDs on offer. IMPORTANTLY, The speeds offered by this m.2 are fastest and potent enough to keep your processor full even if it’s an i7. If you go ahead and spend some more for nvme, you won’t get any difference in performance(except maybe disk to disk transfer) because the processor becomes a bottleneck at those speeds and your SSD is literally waiting to push things into it. I think the nvme could be useful only if your processor is fast enough to compete with it.
