FridAy-QWorlds: The Final Chapter (for now at least)
I forgot to actually mention the reason I didn't have the recorder in the first place was because I reset my computer in the hopes it would make it less terrible. It sort of helped but also caused some more issues. On the subject of FridAy-QWorlds though, I was late anyway and had little motivation to record the rest of the videos, but it's still a bit upsetting that I can't even just do them late. (Also, on a slightly-related-but-not-really note, YouTube has forced me to go back to its newest bad layout, like I didn't have enough problems!)
Today we don't cover:
- BIRTHDAY WEEK 2! This week brings less new stuff than last time, of course, but it also brings a GREAT announcement that's perfectly timed for my return to the game! Well, actually, I don't know if it's THAT great...
- The Wheel of Doom, which existed for one year from 2013 to 2014, is RETURNING next week as part of the celebrations... but, unfortunately, due to an exploit - which was actually the reason the wheels were removed to begin with, I believe - free spins are not yet available. They're going to be looking into it and trying to return it, but it seems there's no promises yet, and for now it's only for those who pay up with ACs. I personally won't be affected because the only reason I wanted it back was that I just don't like when things are completely inaccessible forever, not for the free rewards or anything. Well, we'll figure this out soon... the Wheel will return on Wednesday, the 24th, and it looks like the Wheel of Destiny is strangely not even returning with it. (By the way, if you don't know, Swaggy and his Wheel actually DID return for one or two Valentine's events... yes, the very next Valentine's Day after I stopped playing was the one to bring him back.)
*Oh, also, if you for SOME reason kept your spin tickets and/or Treasure Potions for the last 4 or 5 years, you can indeed use them once the Wheel returns!
- As mentioned last week, the Renn and Zio armors are now available in the Birthday map, as well as four birthday hats, all dropping from the Chocolate Cake boss!
- As also mentioned last week, the color-custom Sepulchure helm has arrived for those who bought the armor-shirt from HeroMart.
- The NostalgiaQuest update that was supposed to come this week has unfortunately been delayed because of several internet problems and other issues, but it should be out next week.
- It looks like the team is celebrating their birthday by doing four of the things they're most known for: surprises, making things unnecessarily exclusive, asking for money, and releasing way too many classes. The magic Master of Moglins class has arrived for those who supported the 2018 Moglin Plushie Kickstarter with... A HUNDRED DOLLARS. YES, YOU HAVE TO PAY $100 FOR THIS CLASS, and as far as I can tell, you don't even get ANY real-life plushies for this UNLESS YOU PAY 20 MORE. Anyway, it gives the chance to fight alongside six classic moglins and six new (or in some cases new-ish) ones! There's the classics - the original Twilly, the ebil Zorbak, the adorable Twig, and the travelling Quibble - and then there's Memet (technically not a moglin), Mort (previously Grimskull's assistant), Scurvy (a pirate), Scourge (a Legion member), Nugget (a DrickenLord), Cupcake (a secret agent in disguise), Rez (a paladin), and Zilla (a zard hunter). Can I just say, these guys really aren't very cute in their new art as pets, and they're ESPECIALLY not cute in AQ3D where they're suddenly taller and skinnier and look like ugly teddy bears. While the class's main skills only call specifically on Twilly or Zorbak's abilities for attacking, you'll be getting buffs from the other ten often, and with the final skill you can call all of their abilities upon the enemy depending on what buffs YOU have!
- The Shadowscythe General class is officially available! Again, you can unlock this for 2,000 ACs or begin farming to unlock it - either doing a daily quest, or farming the War Boss (see below) for a 3% chance to get the merge items! Also, it's actually been buffed up a little bit since the members-only test version was released last week! ...Aaand of course, the AC version has an unfair (and nonsensical) advantage of doing higher damage.
- This week's main release in the Sepulchure's Rise saga brings us a war to defend Sepulchure's new castle from hundreds of thousands of paladins and crusaders! The war was taken out within two days, so Sigrid Sunshield is now available to farm for the materials for that Shadowscythe General!
