To kick off Fright Fest 2017, I play the definitive version of Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams, released in North America on December 20, 2001, in its entirety.

Aside from the Maria sidequest, this version also features more gameplay and video options, notably the ability to toggle the graphical filter off and on.

Fun Fact: This revised version was also ported back to the PS2, subtitled as the "Director's Cut" in Europe, released under the "Greatest Hits" banner in North America, and ported to PC by Creature Labs.

Even Funner Fact: Titles for the original releases of this version go by different names in their respective regions. In Japan, it's known as Saigo no Uta (最期の詩, lit. "Poem of the Last Moment"), Inner Fears in Europe, and of course, Restless Dreams in North America.
