The organizers were finally able to find a bakery out of The Dalles which would be able to make a grand pie for the grand prize. Only one small problem with that is the fact that The Dalles is in Oregon and the competition is in Seattle. So the fruit would have to be trucked from Wenatchee to BNSF in Seattle where it would be expedited to the Dalles and back to Seattle in pie form. The end.
