Federation Cruiser B-Type (Nisos). These ships can be extremely powerful in the late game thanks to the Artillery Beam which is essentially just a free fifth gun. But in the early game its 40-second charge time doesn't do enough to prevent you from taking damage from the first round of enemy weapons fire. The lessons I have learned? Use the Leto, even if it sucks and only does 1 point of damage. It fires quickly enough, that it can disable enemy Shields or Weapons for you before the enemy gets a shot off.
