Link: http://www.smartkeitai.com/fujitsu-arrows-waterproof-android-tablet-smartphone-demo-video/ Fujitsu made an appearance at CES 2012 (Consumer Electronics Show) with a waterproof tablet and the world's thinnest waterproof smartphone.
The Arrows Tab F-01D features a 10.1-inch WXGA (1280x800) display, TI OMAP 4430 1Ghz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 5.1 megapixel rear camera, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, 6560mAh battery, waterproof coating, 4G LTE connectivity, and it runs Android 3.2 Honeycomb.
The NTT Docomo Arrows μ F-01D (also known as the Arrows ES for another carrier) is the CURRENT world's thinnest smartphone at 6.7mm. It easily beats out the Motorola Droid Razr and Samsung Galaxy S II, the previous title holders. However, Huawei will take over that title when they launch the Ascend P1 S, which is 6.68mm, later in 2012. The Arrows handset features a 4-inch WVGA (480x800) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass, Qualcomm MSM8255 1.4GHz single-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 2GB of internal storage with expandable memory up to 32GB, 5 megapixel rear camera, and it runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
In the video above, both the Arrows Tab and Arrows smartphone get dunked underwater to show off its impressive waterproofing feature. Then I give you a quick overview of them. Although these devices are only available in Japan at the moment, Fujitsu is looking to expand globally, including the US. Hopefully they can make that happen.
