Egee's thoughts on AI tl;dr ~
AI art doesn't replace Human art because AI is not Human. Many people (myself included) prefer art made by Humans. Some people don't mind it when AI art looks uncanny. Generative AI is it's own thing and should be it's own category and not be compared to Human works.
Regardless of perspective, Generative AI is here to stay. There's still ethical and environmental issues to address but overall, AI isn't the enemy. It can be an ally if we let it but maybe not until we resolve the intellectual property questions involved in training.
