Predecessor to such famed titles as Wolfenstein 3D and Doom, Catacomb series is rather less known and takes a few different design choices, including overuse of destructible walls, as we shall find out. Armed with a single weapon that offers rapid and multidirectional fire enhancements, the hero takes on his mission. We explore the game up to the Mausoleum level, as the copy seems to be broken and crashes consistently upon entering the Mausoleum. More to come once that is dealt with!
