Fuzion Frenzy Graphics Comparison Original Xbox vs Xbox One S 2017
In case you missed the news earlier today, thirteen classic original Xbox games will be backwards compatible with the Xbox One starting tomorrow. These include a handful of cult classics, including Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Crimson Skies: High Road To Revenge, and Ninja Gaiden Black, amongst others.
But how much will these games be enhanced? Obviously we know they’ll look better on the Xbox One S, but some fans have been wondering just how much the envelope will be pushed with their appearance on Xbox One X. Well, thanks to Microsoft, we actually have a better idea.
First off, to show the stark differences between Xbox 360 and Xbox One X, Microsoft got started on the right foot with a video featuring Halo 3, where the textures look way better using Microsoft’s latest hardware. We didn’t get to see the footage in motion on the Xbox One X hardware, but we do see screenshots that provide a good idea of just how beautiful it’ll look. You can see that video above. The other Halo games should look pretty sweet once they’re updated as well, with The Master Chief Collection getting an upgrade sometime in early 2018. For now, Halo 3 will definitely suffice. Microsoft apparently can’t get enough of showing off the improvements to Halo 3 on the Xbox One X, so it’s made yet another video that shows just how nicely the in-game stage The Pit cleans up on the Xbox One X. Textures look better here as well, and it appears that you can see stark differences with other things in the environment. Plus, that plasma blade…absolutely stunning. It makes us wonder just how amazing the other in-game weapons will look. Or, more importantly, how it runs in action. Hopefully we’ll see some footage of Halo 3 in action soon enough. Like, explosions and stuff.
