The party reaches the desert region of Girgas, where they are imediately assaulted by mercenaries wanting to eat Ian. Refusing to give up their pet, the conflict escalate until Jin, the leader of the mercenaries get involved.
After subjugating her, she is abandoned by her men and tell how her troop got there. She was searching for Lan, her brother that disappeared in the desert when the WRC conquered the world and enforced the migration prohibition act and without suplies, they were going to starve.
She team up with Lord in search of both her brother and the magic sigil in the only place she hasn't explored yet, a dark cave.
Inside they find the secret lab of the kingdom and encounter Bearman. After the fight, they uncover the truth about the Beast Rain Project : the kingdom has been conducting human experiments on conscripted soldiers to create super humans, the result of which are Bearman, Jack, Ian and a lot of monsters still in the lab. Jin then vows to get revenge on the kingdom and pledge loyalty to Lord.
Having found the sigil in the lab and stabilized mana, they exit and are intercepted by Moa, who wanted to ask about their actions but whose fearful nature provoked a fight.
After the fight, Lord tell Moa the truth and it seems a colaboration between some WRC administrators and the party is possible, but as Lord leaves for Nereid, Moa is confronted and killed by Hella.
