G String - Review
24Update: Eyaura did get back to me regarding my concerns near the end, I'll put them here for clarity's sake.
"...I didn't single them out or use them as a scapegoat. G String is sort of an extrapolation of current day events. Like the bad climate taken to an extreme. The Muslim Wing of the Underground idea came from the Iranian nuclear threat and some terrorist stuff in general. In no way is it an attack on anyone's faith or a religious group. I actually edited the Beauty Secrets to tone this down, maybe to my Asian ears it sounded OK but from western perspective it is more jarring. Hope you understand."
It's difficult to drag down a project that clearly means a lot to the person behind it, but G String has some substantial flaws in terms of structure and storytelling that lead to the game wearing out it's welcome long before it actually comes to it's conclusion. If you'd enjoy blasting through 10 hours of Half Life 2 maps with a dark, oppressive atmosphere, then you'll have a lot of fun, but as a standalone project it just can't carry it's own weight.
