Game Kata: Batman Forever part 1
0Sometimes you want to see the special moves of a fighting game without playing it. It's what I'm here for. Game Kata is a series where I perform every special move of a game. And what better way to start the series than to not do every move of what is arguably not a fighting game, 1995's Batman Forever by Acclaim.
An infamously bad beat-em-up game in the horrible vein of Mortal Kombat Mythologies, mixing platforming and fighting game style attacks and movements, it also featured a multiplayer training mode that allowed you to take on the role of not just Batman and Robin, but also the game's enemies as well. It still sucked, but at least you don't have to use the horrible grappling control mechanics.
Missing Riddler, Batman, Robin and Sugar. You know, Drew Barrymore from the movie. I'll get to those later.
The purpose of this series is to have an accessible archive of different special moves available separate from all playthroughs, let's plays, and commentary. For those looking to learn from the fighting games of old, for the future. In this sense it is my belief this counts as fair use, and is protected.
