So I really enjoyed this episode, even more than episode 1. It's kind of jarring switching between three four different characters, but they pulled it off well.
Mira's storyline was one that bored me in Episode 1, to be honest, but hers was the most interesting to me in this one. Maybe it's because it's the one with the most characters from the show (Tyrion, Cersei, Margaery) or maybe it's because King's Landing seems like the most treacherous and dangerous area in the game. I'd like to think it's the latter, especially after seeing the last scene with the midnight meeting.
Side note, what's the obsession with knives in this game? First we see Ramsay shank Ethan in Episode 1, then we see Finn bragging about his in this one and Damien pull his out at the end, too.
Kind of disappointed with Tyrion a little bit this episode. He was a little too manipulative with Mira for my tastes. As much as all the fans of the show love Tyrion (including myself), he IS a Lannister and he IS a schemer - but still, couldn't help but feel a little put off by his interactions with Mira. Maybe it's because I'm used to seeing him pull the rug out from beneath "bad" characters almost exclusively in the show, when in reality he does it with pretty much anyone.
Jon Snow also kind of rubbed me the wrong way, mostly the whole "seasoned veteran" act he was putting on. But I can get over it.
It was interesting to finally meet Asher and have a few scenarios over in Essos for a change. Excited for him to meet Daenerys next episode (come on, you know it's coming).
A little disappointed in the continuous, infuriating struggles with Lord Whitehill and having to fight with an empty hand as the Forresters, but hey - looks like that'll be changing soon enough.
Overall, I liked it. I am finding it a little hard to get fully invested in any one character when I have to switch between four of them several times in the span of 2 hours, but I can't complain too much about it since I'm enjoying myself overall.
