Game prototype - 2D/3D Random Maze Generator
12I made this in GameMaker: Studio after following HeartBeast's random level generation playlist (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9FzW-m48fn2gQVYFxDzq4cz2A4uGWusx).
I took what I learnt from that and rewrote it to include some Direct 3D code. The best part is, that code can be disabled so it's viewable from top down 2D or first person 3D perspective. Same level generation code creates them both.
It's completely bare-bones at the moment. No enemies, no goal, this is just a test. It's no secret GameMaker: Studio is pretty bad for 3D, which is why I've kept the geometry and movement simple. In fact I had the likes of Hired Guns, Bards Tale or even 3D Monster Maze in mind when restricting the movement like this.
