1Well 2k lists NBA 2k18 has being popular and a successful profitable and they’re going to be micro transactions in all of their game going forward. Now from what I have heard of the complaints in the game that it’s impossible to get anywhere in that game at a reasonable speed without shelling out money. But that said it still works in their advantage if you grind and don’t spend money on their game, now days all of your gameplay is recorded in analytics that companies can use too see if there game hit the mark. With the gameplay numbers and youtube numbers I have seen on steam spy I would say yeah NBA 2k18 is a big success. Which brings me to a point that if you want to stop these anti-consumer practices the only way is to boycott any games these games make with these predatory practices, and since they seem too want to make only these types of games in the future it means boycotting a whole lot of triple A games for a while.
