Created by Dragon's Lair designer Rick Dyer and given a limited release in 1985, the Halcyon home laserdisc game console was a bit of a moonshot home gaming system, using laserdiscs for media, voice command input, and text-to-speech and voice synthesis responses to the user. Priced at a hefty $2500, this technical marvel sunk under the waves of the collapsed video game industry, along with the promising games shown in this video.
