GameInformer got to see a private power point prior to Blizzcon which briefed them on the Blizzcon Overwatch 2 announcements, but included in that was some serious hints to upcoming new overwatch heroes, 4 in fact were shown in silhouettes and the writer describes them as a warlock, yuffie from ff7 and perhaps a beast summoner etc. These heroes may be brand new and only come with Overwatch 2, but it's also entirely possible that they come prior to it's release as we're very likely to still get hero content over the year(s) that the sequel is in development, one of them sure sounded like the Junker Queen btw! Also, big topic in the community's mind, is Overwatch 2 really a sequel? Or is it better to call it an expansion... Well that depends. For only pvp players, it does EXPAND the game for FREE, which is a very big deal, but for brand new players, it's an entirely new game, that also has a very friendly business practice of allowing you to play the old OW1 PvP while also having it's own entirely separate OW2 PvE story coop. A good deal it sounds tbh, but we'll have to see the game much farther in development to know whether or not it all comes together, but if you project out what was shown at Blizzcon 2019, it does look promising!
